About Termiz State University
Termez State University (TerSU) is a major public comprehensive university located in the historic city of Termez, Uzbekistan. The institution was originally founded in 1954 as the Termez Pedagogical Institute and was reorganized into a full multidisciplinary university in 1992. Over the decades, it has steadily developed into one of the leading higher education and research centers in the country, known for its academic quality, scientific output, and strong contribution to regional and national development. Its location in one of Central Asia’s most culturally significant regions supports its active role in historical, archaeological, and cultural research alongside modern scientific and professional education.
