The University's Establishment:
First: A Historical Overview of the University
 
Amran University was established in 2005. The university began operating independently in 2007. The university includes the following colleges and centers:
1- Humanities Colleges:
Faculty of Education, Applied Sciences, and Arts.
Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Khamr.
Faculty of Business.
The humanities colleges include (19) academic departments, including the following specializations:
 
Faculty of Education, Applied Sciences, and Arts includes the following majors: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, Arabic Language and the Holy Quran, Geography, History, and Kindergarten. Applied Sciences include Applied Physics and Agricultural Sciences. Literature includes the following majors: Translation.
Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Khamr.
Faculty of Accounting, Business Administration, and Financial and Banking Sciences.
College of Business includes the following majors: International Accounting, International Business Administration, and the English Language of Study.
2- Practical Colleges:
Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
The practical colleges include (9) academic departments, including the following specializations:
 
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences includes the following specializations:
1-    Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of surgery (MBBS),
2-    Bachelor of Pharmacy,
3-    Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine,
4-    Bachelor of Nursing,
5-    Bachelor Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics (B.Sc CND),
6-    Bachelor of in Midwifery.
